NASPO’s Top 10 Priorities Analysis

Over the past six years of NASPO Top 10 Priorities lists, four topics have made the Top 10 every year and an additional 3 topics were on the list for all but one year. These topics, collectively, represent 65% of the list from the past six years. NASPO has supported these priorities through the development of the publications found in the table below.

Preparing for Simultaneous Emergencies

If the COVID-19 pandemic has had a silver lining, it has been the forced shift to working from home and decentralizing the office building. While this transition to working from home has not been without growing pains, the benefits outweigh the costs in terms of preparing for emergencies on the horizon. Now that we know we can work efficiently from home; it is time to explore options to make our offices even more resilient in the face of future emergencies.

Back to School Technology: Are You Ready?

Most districts and states have begun working through the logistics of returning to school for faculty, staff, and students. Many lessons were learned over the spring and early summer about how to implement distance education and working from home. However, access and digital security issues remain. Unfortunately, these issues will not be resolved unless we take in the entire landscape of making the digital connection from students to instructors in a virtual environment.
